Eat Well Be Well Whole Grain Cereal Bars Review
Eat Well Be Well Cereal Bars are diabetic friendly, sugar free and made with whole grains. There are 2 varieties to choose from, Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip and Cinnamon Apple Crisp, which is the one that I bought. They could have called this bar just about any name they chose because you really can't taste any cinnamon or apple flavoring. I also found the taste to be slightly below average when compared to other cereal bars previously reviewed [check out the 'bar' category]. The Eat Well Be Well Cinnamon Apple Crisp bar wasn't very sweet, which is fine when there are other flavors to compensate for this. Unfortunately, the only other flavor is a sort of chemical-like taste, which I can only attribute to a taste I have experienced when there is too much artificial sweetener in the product.

One Eat Well Be Well Cinnamon Apple Crisp Bar is 110 calories with only 4 grams of total fat and 1.5 grams of saturated fat which are 7% of the recommended daily amount (RDA). There is no trans fat, 4 grams of protein and 16 grams of total carbohydrates which includes a whopping 9 grams of fiber which is 38% of the RDA and no sugars. There are no sugar alcohols but they do incorporate the artificial sweeteners sucralose (Splenda) and acesulfame K.
One box contains 5 cereal bars and was about $3.50 in stores and is $4.99 at Amazon.com.The fiber is the best thing this cereal bar has going for it. If I were diabetic (meaning I only had limited choices) then I would possibly buy this again, otherwise I would probably go with the Kashi Granola Bar [read the review] or Kelloggs All Bran Honey Oat Bars [read the review], both of which taste better and have more than 15% of the RDA for fiber - although that's still less than half the fiber of this bar.
