South Beach Living Fiber Fit Mocha Bar

South Beach Living Fiber Fit Mocha BarI have been having a love affair with Mocha Bars. I just had a delicious ZonePerfect Dark Mocha Bar the other day, but the 18% of the daily value for saturated fat left me looking at other options. I decided to try a South Beach Living Fiber Fit Mocha Bar.

The first thing that popped into my mind after opening a South Beach Living Fiber Fit Mocha Bar was, "this is small! The texture is gooey, chocolatey and slightly dense with a bit of crunch from the crisped rice. It appears as though there is a layer of peanut butter on top of the intense mocha base and under the adorning chocolate drizzle. However, looks can be deceiving because there is no peanut butter taste in the midst of all of the mocha (which is good because otherwise the name of the product would be way off).

NUTRITION FACTS
Serving Size: 35 gram
Calories: 120
Total Fat: 4 grams, 6%
Saturated Fat: 2.5 grams, 13%
Sodium: 125 mg, 5%
Carbohydrates: 25 gram
Fiber: 9 grams, 36%
Sugar: 7 grams
Sugar Alcohols: 3 grams
Protein: 2 grams

The one thing I dislike about the texture is some small and slightly hard pieces dispersed throughout the bar. I am not sure if these unpleasant aspects are attributed to the hydrolyzed soy protein or one of the MANY other items contributing to the long ingredient list. Then again, these little hard bits do not completely consume the product and may not be as apparent to some taste buds.

A 35 gram South Beach Living Fiber Fit Mocha Bar provides 120 calories, 6% & 13% of the daily value for total and saturated fat, 9 grams of fiber (36% of the DV), 7 grams of sugar, 3 grams of sugar alcohol and only 2 grams of protein.

A 5 count box of South Beach Living Fiber Fit Mocha Bars cost $2.99 and I probably won't buy them again. It is not necessarily that these bars are horrible (they are actually pretty tasty), but there are just so many alternatives that I prefer.

Loving all that fiber and low calorie count, but the taste wasn't all that fantastic. To satisfy your fiber fix, I would suggest a Fiber One Chocolate Mocha Bar.
