Sandwich thins make are just so perfect for so many things - sandwiches, veggie burgers & even hot dogs. My first introduction was to Arnold Select Multigrain Sandwich Thins, but it wasn't long after that I saw Earthgrains 100% Whole Wheat Thin Buns, and with a $1.00 off in-store coupon, you just now that I was going to reach for this to try out and review for Iateapie (the discounted price was $2.49).

Earthgrains says their 100% Whole Wheat Thin Buns are, "slim yet hearty, with a dusting of bran, our Thin Buns stand up to whatever delicious meat, cheese or veggies you feel like savoring that day. These just may become your standard BBQ and sandwich bun."

At first, I could not tell much of a difference between Earthgrains and Arnold Thins. Both are thin and dense, yet still doughy and sturdy enough for whatever culinary creation your mind inspires you to create. However, the one difference between these two creations is that Earthgrains Thin Buns are a bit fluffier and softer than Arnold Thins.

On the packaging, EarthGrains mentions multiple times that, "We care about the earth so much, it's in our name" and it really does seem to be true, as just one of the things they have done, is committed to using Ec0-Grain wheat (read more about it on the Earthgrains website). But the funny thing is that there is an abundance of packaging with a plastic container of sorts (which seems unnecessary) being covered by a somewhat large plastic bag ... just something to think about earthgrains.

Each one of Earthgrains 100% Natural Whole Wheat Thin Buns provides 100 calories, 1.5 grams of total fat (3% of the daily value), no saturated fat, 7% of the DV for sodium, 4 grams of fiber (16% of the DV), 3 grams of sugars and 5 grams of protein. There is no high fructose corn syrup, artificial colors, preservatives or flavors.

In the end, I think that both companies offer up a great product that is nutritious, delicious, versatile and remarkably similar. The only question is, which one is cheaper or on sale.

I love sandwich thins! I'll keep an eye out for these.

I've never tried sandwich thins but they sound fantastic! I'll have to give them a try!

Pepperidge Farms also makes sandwich thins so we have three options to choose from.
