YumNuts Naturals Chocolate Cashews

YumNuts Naturals (Chocolate)Yum and Nuts are two words that go together just perfectly in my vocabulary. Almonds, walnuts, peanuts ... I like them all. Of course, I have to be careful with these crunchy snacks that Mother Nature has blessed us with because they are very addicting, yet possess a fairly high fat content (granted, it is healthy fats). Nonetheless, when I took a bite of YumNuts Naturals Chocolate Cashews, I went Nuts for YumNuts (I couldn't resist saying that).

This sweet creation reminds me of a peanut M&M because there is a thin coating over each cashew, which adds a slight crunch and the perfect level of candy sweetness. However, YumNuts has ditched the fat-laden milk chocolate shell that is characteristic of many chocolate covered nuts (such as the aforementioned M&M's) for a cocoa, candy shell. The candy crunch contrasts the naturally smooth and buttery cashew very nicely. Thankfully, the customary cashew flavor profile is not overpowered and shines through just perfectly.

Each 1/4 cup (1 ounce) serving of YumNuts Naturals Chocolate Cashews provides 160 calories, 17% of the daily value for total fat, 10% of the DV for saturated fat, 2 grams of fiber (8% of the RDA), 6 grams of sugar and 4 grams of protein. The ingredient list is very simple, short and sweet as the saying goes. The 6 ingredients that go into these crunchy, sweet snacks are dry-roasted cashews, honey, sugar, cocoa power, milk powder and soy lecithin.

Cashews never tasted so good! I was so intrigued by YumNuts Naturals Chocolate Cashews that I have to try their other creations, Chili Lime, Spicy Cajun, Honey, Toasted Coconut, Sea Salt ... which should I try next? An 8 pack of 5 ounce bags can be found on Amazon.com for $35.69.
