Kettle Cuisine Tomato Soup with Garden Vegetables
Kettle Cuisine describes their gluten free & vegetarian Tomato Soup with Garden Vegetables as, "red-ripe tomatoes cooked to perfection, then combined with hand-prepared squash, carrots, celery, green beans, and our own blend of Italian seasonings for a soup that is as full of flavor as it is fresh vegetables." That sounds pretty good to me!

I zapped my frozen soup when I got home and savored the tomato-y smell that permeated my apartment. When I removed the container from the microwave, I looked at my snack, examining the different chunks of veggies floating in a rich tomato broth. I took a spoon and, unable to contain myself any longer, dug in. Although it's suggested suggest using this as a sauce for meat or adding Parmesan cheese, I opted to eat it plain to really appreciate the flavors. Boy am I glad I did! The veggies were not soggy at all and were cut in large, satisfying pieces, and the broth was nice and substantial without being ridiculously thick like in some tomato soups.
I like that this soup is made with natural ingredients (Water, Diced Tomatoes in Juice (tomatoes, tomato juice, salt, calcium chloride, citric acid), Ground Tomatoes (tomatoes, salt, citric acid), Zucchini, Summer Squash, Onions, Yellow Beans, Green Beans, Carrots, Celery, Olive Oil, Rice Flour, Scallions, Corn Oil, Spices, Sea Salt, and Garlic), because I feel like I'm doing right by myself eating this. Basically, this was the perfect cold day fix, both warming and filling me up.
Each container of Kettle Cuisine Tomato Soup with Garden Vegetables provides 110 calories, 6% and 5% o f the daily value for total & saturated fat, 32% of the DV for sodium (760 mg), 20% of the DV for fiber, 7 grams of sugar and 3 grams of protein.
I found a few of the Kettle Cuisine soup varieties in a natural foods store near me, on sale for $2.79. The sodium count is a little high, but I could definitely see myself buying this soup again. The taste & all natural ingredients list has really won me over.
