Clif Lemon Vanilla & Cashew Nectar Bar

I am not exactly sure what made me buy a Clif Lemon, Vanilla & Cashew Nectar Bar (curiosity, perhaps?!) because I tend to dislike lemon flavored products and cashews are not one of my favorite nuts. Yet, this afternoon, I found myself at the checkout counter with this very bar in hand.

NUTRITION FACTS
Serving Size: 1 bar (45 grams)

Total Fat: 6 grams, 9%
Saturated Fat: 1 grams, 6%
Sodium: 5 mg, 0%
Carbohydrates: 27 grams
Fiber: 6 grams, 24%
Sugars: 7 grams
Protein: 5 grams

This is an Organic fruit & nut bar. After my first bite, I immediately thought of a Larabar; but there is a bit more body in this Clif variety (a plus for me). Big hunks of cashews are spread throughout the formed date mixture and add an extra boost of creaminess and texture. Furthermore, dried Goji berries can be seen within the bar and give every bite a little burst of sweetness. Each mouthful embodies the perfect sweetness and the lemon flavor is very natural and faint. I am beginning to think that what I dislike is artificial lemon flavorings and the natural ones aren't so bad.

The ingredients in this Clif Lemon Vanilla & Cashew Nectar Bar are, Organic Dates, Organic Cashews, Organic Goji Berries, Organic Lemon Juice Concentrate, Organic Vanilla. Two servings of fruit are provided in each 45 gram bar, which also provides 160 calories, 9% & 6% of the daily value for total & saturated fat, 6 grams of fiber (24% of the DV), 17 grams of sugar and 4 grams of protein.

A Clif Lemon, Vanilla & Cashew Nectar Bar set me back $1.70. I like having these bars before a workout, but with all the sugar (natural & organic or not), I won't have this too often. Still, I am very excited to try the other CLIF Nectar Bar flavors, do you have any recommendations?

I loved these bars too, but Clif discontinued the line.

Where did you hear that Clif is discontinuing these? They are still on their website and in stores. I like the fact that they are equal to 2 servings of fruit. The dark chocolate one is very good, if a little dry. I'm anxious to try their new c bar, but haven't seen it anywhere.

oooooooomg yes. the dark chocolate walnut one is the only one i tried but it is. SO. GOOD.
i hear there is a cinnamon roll flavored one, but i haven't seen them in stores.
YUMMY!! :)

Dying to find Lemon Nectar bars...they have been discontinued, and I do not see them on their website.

The lemon vanilla cashew nectar bar is my favorite by Clif. I've been buying it faithfully since 2006. If this one is getting discontinued, I need to stock up!
