Enjoy Life Soft Baked Snickerdoodle Cookies

Enjoy Life Soft Baked Snickerdoodle CookiesEnjoy Life Foods whole purpose (they say) is, "making smile good foods that keep people's insides happy too." Their foods are gluten free and made without 8 of the most common food allergens. But Enjoy Life, I have to tell you, my tummy was not smiling at your Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies, nor did it smile with the Caramel Apple Bars! Nevertheless, although I don't have any food allergies, I love the fact that your company is t-r-y-i-n-g to make "taste good" foods for people with food allergies, and I want to help spread the word about your foods ... if only I can find something good to eat. With that quest in mind (and a $1.00 off coupon to boot), I tried Enjoy Life Soft Baked Snickerdoodle Cookies ... because I have never met a snickedoodle that I did not like.

NUTRITION FACTS
Serving Size: 2 cookies (28 grams)

Total Fat: 4.5 grams, 7%
Saturated Fat: 0%
Sodium: 110 mg, 5%
Carbohydrates: 21 grams
Fiber: 2 grams, 8%
Sugars: 14 grams
Protein: 1 gram

I was certainly reluctant to see just how these little guys would hold up. At first glance I thought, "okay ... these seem pretty dense, soft and moist". Then I took a bite it and it was just as I thought - soft and chewy. BUT, there is still that grainy/floury texture like with the Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies and Caramel Apple Bars. The flavor is actually pretty good (and quite sweet), but you are liable to be too distracted by the texture to even notice. These are better than the chocolate chip ones in my opinion though.

Each 28 gram serving of Enjoy Life Soft Baked Snickerdoodle Cookies (2 baby cookies) provides 130 calories, 7% of the daily value for total fat but no saturated fat, 5% of the DV for sodium, 2 grams of fiber (8% of the DV), 14 grams of sugar and 1 gram of protein.

The ingredient list is short and contains nothing artificial, which is great. Even with my dollar off coupon, these 12 little munchkins still set me back $2.79, which I could have spent on something much more pleasing (such as Annie's Honey Bunnies). But I still have 10 Enjoy Life Soft Baked Snickerdoodle Cookies waiting to be devoured and they will certainly not be going to waste.

On another note, if you maintain a gluten free diet and have limited choices, these may be worth a try. They seemed to like them over at Gluten-freelicious.

When I was on an elimination diet these cookies saved my life!!
I think they're really good- try crumbling them on hot oatmeal or quinoa flakes, or heat in the microwave for 10-15 seconds. make then into a sandwich with coconut butter or crumble them in vanilla ice cream. One of the better widely available allergen free cookie I've tried!
