ZonePerfect Snack Size Chocolate Caramel Cluster Bar

Zone Perfect Snack Size Chocolate Caramel Cluster BarsThey say good things come in small packages, and with plenty of companies trying their hand at smaller-size nutrition bars (like Luna, Clif, PowerBar, and ProMax), I was curious as to which products offer the best nutrition and taste. More importantly, which bars are big enough to fill you up while offering a low calorie content?!

I bought a box of Zone Perfect Snack Size Chocolate Caramel Cluster Bars to try. At $5.99 for a box of 8, these little treats aren't cheap, but they certainly won't break the bank either. The picture on the box is quite appetizing - swirls of chocolate and caramel candies mix together for a tempting treat. But the big question, as always: would it taste as good as it looked?

I opened the box and took out a 20.5 gram mini-bar. I was pleased to find that it was covered in delicious chocolate. The texture was pleasingly rich and chewy, which made me feel like I was eating a lot more than I actually was. Furthermore, the chocolate and caramel tastes were perfection - creamy, rich, and delicious. I savored the little bar, eating it in four bites as opposed to 2 (as I was tempted to do), and was pleasantly surprised that while I enjoyed the bar, I didn't need to reach for another (I wonder if eating it slowly and savoring it had something to do with that)?

Each ZonePerfect Snack Size Chocolate Caramel Cluster Bar provides 80 calories, 2.5 grams of total fat, 1 gram of fiber, 6 grams of sugars and 5 grams of protein. Additionally, each bar is fortified with a slew of vitamins and minerals, including Vitamins A, B6, B12, C, E and calcium, among others, but the ingredients list is not for the faint of heart. I didn't spot any artificial sweeteners or sugar alcohols.

Overall, this is a fantastic little treat, but it's more like a better for you version of a candy bar, and just as delicious. Give this little guy a try for any mid-afternoon craving or pre-workout snack!

I love your reviews! I'm never sure what to eat when it comes to power bars since most taste horrible. Thanks for the review!
