Skinny Water Peach Mango Mandarin (XXX-Detox)

With a name like Skinny Water, how can you not want to at least try it? I was at a sandwich shop where ALL drinks are $2.00, so rather than paying that ridiculous price for a bottle of water, I walked through a Walgreen's, where the price for Skinny Water was $1.29. I contemplated over the myriad of flavors for a few minutes, which include Raspberry Pomegranate, Lemonade Passionfruit, and 4 others, and ended up going with Peach Mango Mandarin (XXX-Detox).

The ingredients that are intended to deliver on the "Detox" promise are listed as Hesperidine - a citrus bioflavinoid with anti-oxidant properties, Calcium - builds strong skeletal system, Potassium - helps maintain cellular hydration, and EGCB (a green tea extract). The combo of these items supposedly will "keep you looking and feeling like an A-list movie star."
So what does it taste like? Hmmm ... not much. The closest comparison would be watered down Orange Hi-C. I was in the sandwich shop post a 45 minute run so just about any liquid would have been amazing - I would be fibbing if I said this relieved or quenched my thirst. I didn't detect any peach flavor, or mango for that matter, maybe a hint of watered down mandarin, but again more like watered down orange Hi-C. I could also detect a fake taste. Upon closer inspection, I saw sucralose (Splenda) embedded in the ingredient list. Of course this is to be expected, the drink has 0 calories, but the fake taste was a bit too obvious.
Skinny Water Peach Mango Mandarin (XXX-Detox) provides 0 calories, so this beats the 25 calories of the low-cal Vitamin Water. From a mineral and vitamin perspective, a 16 ounce bottle of Skinny Water will provide 14% calcium and 6% potassium of the daily value. There is no sodium, preservatives, sugar or artificial colors, so to create the light orange color they use cool stuff like beta-carotene and red cabbage juice, but as I mentioned before, the sweetner used is sucralose which is an artificial sweetener.
The Peach Mango Mandarin Detox Skinny Water certainly didn't win me over, but if you've tried flavors that are more impressive be sure to leave a note in the comments so we know what to try next.

I've tried the Lemonade Passionfruit and I actually really liked it. It didn't have the kinda over-Splenda'd taste you mentioned (I tried Peach Mango Mandarin too and thought the same thing), but they're definitely not as good as SoBe. Give the lemonade one a try!
I'm an athlete and have been enjoying the acai pomegranate blueberry. It's the "high energy" flavor. Pretty yummy.
I personally LOVE Skinny Water, but I do have to agree with you on the Peach Mango Mandarin flavor. It did have that weird aftertaste which I didn't like much but I would definitely recommend the Lemonade Passionfruit and the Orange Cranberry Tangerine. They taste great and I didn't get the aftertaste, I'm not a fan of the other flavors though, just didn't like the berryish flavors.
orange hi c is not tasteful i did'nt try skinny water but yet but i think 0 calories worth
