Doctor's CarbRite Cookie Dough Diet Bar

Doctor's CarbRite Cookie Dough Diet BarI'm on a mission to try all of the different flavors of Doctor's CarbRite Diet Bars so I can tell you which I like best and which fall at the bottom of my list. So far, my top flavors are Frosted Cinnamon Bun, Toasted Coconut, and Lemon Meringue. One flavor I hadn't tried, however, was the Cookie Dough flavor. I love cookie dough (and yes, I eat it raw, even though I shouldn't!), so I figured I'd probably like this flavor of the nutrition bar.

NUTRITION FACTS
Serving Size: 1 bar (57 grams)
Calories: 195
Total Fat: 5 grams, 8%
Saturated Fat: 2 grams, 10%
Sodium: 175 mg, 7%
Carbohydrates: 24 grams
Fiber: 2 grams, 8%
Sugars: 0 grams
Sugar Alcohol: 21 grams
Protein: 20 grams

One reason I love Doctor's CarbRite Diet Bars is that they offer a lot of protein and very little sugar and fat, unlike Clif Builder's Chocolate Bar. The Cookie Dough bar provides 195 calories, 5 grams of total fat, 2 grams of which is saturated fat (8% and 10% of the daily value), 8% of the daily value of fiber, no sugar and 20 grams of protein. As with all of this brand's products, there are sugar alcohols (21 grams of them), so avoid these bars if sugar alcohols give you gastrointestinal problems.

As for taste, this flavor is good ... not great, but good. The chocolate coating is is pretty tasty, and the cookie dough flavor is pleasant. It doesn't taste exactly like real cookie dough, but it was close enough for me. There are also little chocolate chips studding the thick, chewy inside, which makes it more realistic.

Overall, I'd probably buy this again - I bought it for $1.79 at the grocery store - but most likely only if my favorite flavors weren't available.

Hmm...I've never tried these. I'll have to tell my dad--he can't have sugar, so this sounds like a healthy treat.

Looks feasible. I'll try someday.

Frosted Cinnamon Bun is the best for me. i love its flavorful taste that the scent of the bar runs even through my nostrils while enjoying it. i'm glad that this bar has been made coz even i am on a diet, i can still enjoy having sweets like this. thank goodness.

These definitely look good enough to make any cookie dough fundraiser a huge success. I might use these in my kid's next fundraiser! I know of a lot of parents that would like this
