Starbucks Egg White, Spinach & Feta Wrap

Starbucks Spinach and Feta Egg WrapThe Starbucks Spinach, Roasted Tomato, Feta & Egg Wrap is currently the lowest calorie option listed under their breakfast menu, so I decided to try it out. But instead of breakfast, I had it for lunch one day when I was while I was there working. This sandwich is made with a whole wheat wrap stuffed with an egg white patty, spinach and feta cheese (just as the name implies).

NUTRITION FACTS
Serving Size: 1 wrap

Saturated Fat: 3.5 grams, 18%
Sodium: 1140 mg, 48%
Protein: 19 grams
Carbohydrates: 35 grams
Fiber: 8 grams, 32%
Sugar: 4 grams
Price: $3.25

I don't usually buy egg sandwiches, but this proved to be very well engineered. There was nothing oozing or running out of the wrap, the texture was firm and moist, and some kind of sauce (or maybe it was the feta), provided a flavorful kick. And, the sandwich is quite satisfying enough for an albeit small lunch.

But, as with most food options at these types of places, the nutrition facts weren't the greatest. Each sandwich only has 280 calories, 32% of the daily value for fiber and 19 grams of protein, but also 18% of the DV for saturated fat and 48% of the DV for sodium.

The ingredients list is also something straight out of a food chemistry textbook - I did mention that this was "well engineered."

Overall, I would probably grab this on a hectic day when I'm running around, instead of picking up a fast food burger.

I like these a lot, but you're so right about the ingredient list-I'm surprised it's not glowing radioactive green or something. Although it would have been a better choice than the Caramel Brulee Latte I had from Starbucks today...

Sadly, my Starbucks doesn't have food items like this..only pastries.

Thanks for the opportunity to win the bag+coupons. I've always loved your site but now I love it even more!

I really want to get excited about this. I want to imagine that I'm eating the Wrap, but the tsunami-sized glass of apple juice I just drank is interfering with my ability to fully enjoy this post. Geesh.

I tired this wrap a few weeks ago, and it did not live up to my expectations. Maybe the problem was that I tried it after it had been sitting in a conference room for a few hours or maybe I don't like feta cheese as much as I thought I did...I'll stick to their oatmeal :)

True - this sandwich is best eaten hot!

I absolutely LOVE this wrap... I tried to click the link to see the ingredient list but it is no longer available. The food section of the Starbucks site says that they have new recipes with no "artificial flavors, trans fats or dyes" and no high fructose corn syrup. So, does this mean that we shouldn't expect the sandwich to glow green anymore? Or is it still the same....

You have to put in a zip code near you - and then it should show you locations. Pick one and then you can view the nutrition facts & ingredients :-)

I had one of these for breakfast this morning and thought it was wonderful. I took a look at the calorie content and see that (according to their website) it has 240 calories). I thought it was really good... I won't be getting it everyday, but a good option nonetheless!
