Fiber One Chocolate Mocha Bar

Fiber One Chocolate Mocha BarFiber One bars seem to be recognized by more individuals than not. However, Fiber One is always coming out with new flavors and varieties to keep your taste buds from getting bored. Therefore, when I discovered Fiber One Chocolate Mocha Bar (and having tasted the yummy Oats & Strawberries with Almonds variety), I decided to give these babies a go.

The second I opened the wrapper, it was as though I had walked through the front door of a Starbucks Coffee Shop. The coffee aroma is bold, pungent and appealing. The actual flavor is a nice balance between chocolate and coffee, which makes for a delectable mocha flavor. The texture is typical of all Fiber One Bars: gooey (but not overly sticky), compact oats and crisped rice, chocolate chips dotted throughout and a small drizzle of chocolate to top it all off. Most of all, I really love the chew that Fiber One Bars provide.

Each 40 gram Fiber One Chocolate Mocha Bar provides 140 calories, 4 grams of total fat of which 2 grams is saturated fat (6% & 9% of the daily value), 90 mg of sodium (4% of the DV), 2 grams of protein and 29 grams of carbohydrates which includes 9 grams of fiber (35% of the DV) and 10 grams of sugar. The ingredients list reflects sugar, sugar and more sugar - actually, sugar, high maltose corn syrup, honey and high fructose corn syrup.

A box of 5 generally costs around $3.00. In the end, when talking about Fiber One bars, people usually love them, despise the long ingredient list or simply can't stand the side effects they encounter from the abundance of fiber (which is observed in the comments section of the Fiber One Oats and Chocolate Bar review). Which category do you fall into? I would probably fall into the first one!

This is my least favorite bar of the Fiber one community. I think it is more because I am not into coffee flavored bars. Now give me their peanut butter or chocolate ones and watch it be eaten in mere seconds

Chocolate Mocha Bar can be eaten fresh or cooked.A traditional method of preparation is to warm them in a pan with lard and sugar and to serve them with cream. Crushed fruit can be frozen for later use or used in cake recipes or made into pemmican, cooked meats, and stews.
