Chobani Vanilla 0% All Natural Greek Yogurt

Chobani Vanilla Greek YogurtI saw Chobani Greek Yogurt on sale at 3 for $3.00 (down from $1.69 each) and being a fan of Greek yogurt, I had to pick one up. The plain fat free kind was sold out, so I decided to try the Vanilla Fat-free flavor. I picked one up, along with a spoon, and set out to enjoy my snack.

I opened the package and examined my yogurt. The consistency was a bit odd. Some parts appeared more liquidy and others more gelatinous. The color was a light tan (which was not the most appetizing thing ever), but I was still optimistic. I dipped in my spoon and sampled the flavor. I must say, I was quite underwhelmed. The vanilla flavor was artificial-tasting, and it wasn't very sweet at all despite having sugar in it. I much prefer adding a packet of sweetener to my plain yogurt - it tastes better, and there's no strange "vanilla" essence.

Each 170 gram serving of Chobani Vanilla 0% All Natural Greek Yogurt provides 120 calories, no fat, 65 mg of sodium (3% of the daily value), 16 grams of protein and 13 grams of carbohydrates which includes 13 grams of sugars (no fiber). There is also 20% of the daily recommendations for calcium. The ingredients list is short & simple - evaporated cane juice is the sweetener.

Unfortunately, I wasn't feeling the taste, so despite those stats, I won't be buying this flavor again, even if it is on sale.

Love Chobani yogurt. Yum! Now the pineapple one I'm not sure about, don't care for fruit pieces in yogurt but I'm willing to try it.

Having never tried Chobani yogurt, I have had Stonyfield Farm Oikos Greek Yogurt, which is pretty good. Usually I buy the plain flavor, and sweeten it with a splenda packet. All in all, it tastes pretty good, but I find greek yogurt to have a strange, paste-like consistency. It does take some getting used to.

I love the vanilla. I prefer the stats of plain, so i usually buy that, but the vanilla is delicious. Maybe I'm just not that picky....

Chobani is the best greek yogurt around!!! No contest!

I really like the vanilla Chobani! It's probably my 2nd favorite after the pineapple.

aw, i was looking forward to trying teh vanilla flavor too. i actually just did a review on the nonfat fruit on the bottom reviews on my site. check it out if you can!
