Wasa Light Rye Crispbread
I first heard about the all natural Wasa crackers from my former college roommate a long time ago, so it was with greedy anticipation that I scooped up a few packages when I found a small selection of Wasa crackers in the non-traditional snack section of the supermarket. I chose to try Wasa Light Rye Crispbread because of it's ultra low 30 calories per slice (compared to the usual 45).
By my visual estimation, each slice was roughly the size of a 3x5 index card and had a cross-section that reminded me of corrugated cardboard, but beyond that, there were no more reminders of paper products. True to their name, the crackers were very light and crisp, and I really liked the wholesome rye taste. I really liked how these didn't depend on a drench of oil or salt to enhance the crackers. How do you Wasa? I Wasa with hummus, cucumbers and salsa.
A serving of 2 crackers of Wasa Light Rye Crispbread provides 60 calories, no fat or cholesterol, 70 milligrams of sodium (2% of the daily value), 2 grams of protein and 14 grams of carbohydrates, including 3 grams of dietary fiber but no sugars. The only ingredient is whole grain rye flour.
A 9.5 ounce package of crackers (about 16 servings) cost $2.69 at Kroger. These all natural crackers are incredibly wholesome, providing a significant amount of fiber without an excess of sodium or fat. Plus, they are crisp and great-tasting with the simple taste of grain. I would highly recommend this product.

I've tried these before, and i can say the taste is good. But I actually prefer the texture and crispness of Melba Toast crackers better.
I love Wasa crackers! My favorite way to eat them is with Laughing Cow cheese spread! It makes the perfect snack!
I like pairing crackers with hummus. These sounds great. A nice change from my Ak Mak addiction.
I used to eat Wasa crispbreads many years ago when I was on the Diet Center diet. It was the only bread product allowed on the diet and we could have four pieces per day. My only problem with them was that often, I would find little bugs in the packages and have to throw them out.
These are our default cheese crackers when we try new cheeses because they are fairly inert on taste, yet provide great texture contrast to the cheese.
I love the Wasa sourdough. I eat them with laughing cow cheese and tomatoes... ummm just delicious.
These crackers are great. I eat them with a slice of cheese, or a bit of peanut butter, or hummus, or right out of the pack. Nice fiber and calorie content.
I WASA w/ almost everything. Years ago WASA was THE healthy diet food. I love it still!
