Genisoy Sweet Crisps Chocolate

Genisoy Sweet Chocolate CrispsI went to the vending machine today to pick out some fruit crisps, but there were none to be found. Scanning the shelves to find a substitute, my eyes hit upon Genisoy Sweet Crisps in Chocolate. The picture on the front showed little crispy squares drizzled with chocolate - looks delicious. I was especially drawn to the package on seeing the "Smart Snacking" label on the front, detailing the 3 grams of protein, 90 calories, and 0 mg of cholesterol per serving.

I opened the bag (rather loudly in the middle of class) and examined the contents. I was pleased with the number of crisps (twenty or more), each around the size of a half dollar (only they're square). I popped one into my mouth, and my first thought was, Yum yummy! They're crispy and slightly salty with a healthy drizzle of chocolate on each one. There is even a little kick of cinnamon at the end of each bite. My salty and sweet cravings were completely satisfied.

Each 20 gram bag of Genisoy Sweet Crisps Chocolate provides just 90 calories from 3 grams of fat, 2.5 grams of which is saturated fat (5% and 13% of the daily value), 65 mg of cholesterol (3% of the DV), 3 grams of protein and 12 grams of carbohydrates which includes 1 gram of fiber and 6 grams of sugar. The ingredients include a lot of different flours starting with soy flour, whole ground corn flour and wheat flour.

The nutritional stats are similar to OCocos Chocolate Crisps (which I also love), and they both hold a special place in my heart. I'll definitely be buying these again, hopefully by the case for cheaper than the $1.00 I put in the vending machine.
