Genisoy All Natural Potato Bakes Ranch was in the vending machine, and looked like it was a more nutritious choice than many of the other options. In went my $1.00, and out came these, "smart snacking chips" which advertised 4 grams of protein, 80 calories, no cholesterol and 67% less fat than regular potato chips.
I eagerly tore into the bags after reading those stats. These chips were light and crispy, not oil-laden like regular potato chips. They reminded me of Glenny's Spud Delites, only the ranch flavor was much more robust and less artificial than any of the Glenny's flavors. These definitely taste very strongly of ranch, so if you don't like that flavor, give it a pass; however, I liked the zest and zip of these chips.
In addition to providing 80 calories, each 21 gram serving of Genisoy All Natural Potato Bakes Ranch has 2.5 grams of fat, no saturated or trans fats, 210 mg of sodium (9% of the daily value) and 12 grams of total carbohydrates including 1 gram of fiber and 1 gram of sugar.
Bottom line: A snack with 4 grams of protein, only 1 gram of sugar and 80 calories, that's also delicious is a fantastic find.
