Cascadian Farm Organic Kids Cinnamon Crunch Cereal

Cascadian Farm Organic Kids Cinnamon Crunch CerealMy favorite cereals growing up were always Lucky Charms, Froot Loops, and Cinnamon Toast Crunch. While I've found more nutritious replacements for the first two (Cascadian Farms Organic Clifford Crunch and Fruity Cheerios, respectively), I had yet to find a suitable replacement for the last one. Sure, there's Fiber One Caramel Delight Cereal, which is similar (and tastes pretty good too), but sometimes I want a snack that's a little bit on the lighter side, calorie-wise. That's why I was so excited when I found Cascadian Farm Organic Kids Cinnamon Crunch Cereal, which seemed like it might be a suitable more nutritious replacement?

Eager to find out, I purchased a box (on sale for $3.00). I flipped it over to scan the ingredient list, and was quite pleased with what I saw: whole grain wheat, sugar, rice flour, sunflower oil, oat fiber, maltodextrin, sea salt, cinnamon, dextrose, rice extract, soy lecithin, and vitamin E (plus a few more added vitamins and minerals; no calcium, though). I poured myself a one-cup serving and tried it without milk to really get the flavor. I really liked this stuff - I found it not too sweet (which Cinnamon Toast Crunch can be), and it was very crunchy. The pieces are little curvy squares, and they're about 1/2 inch on each side. They're sprinkled with just the right amount of cinnamon and sugar; not so much as to get everywhere, but enough to provide great flavor.

Each 1 cup serving of Cascadian Farm Organic Kids Cinnamon Crunch Cereal provides 110 calories, 2.5 grams of fat, no saturated or trans fats, 105 mg of sodium (4% of the daily value), 3 grams of fiber, 8 grams of sugar, 2 grams of protein, and a slew of vitamins and minerals.

Don't let the "Kids" label stop you from trying this cereal - low calories, a good amount of fiber and not too much sugar means this is another Cascadian Farm cereal that I will be buying regularly.

I LOVE this cereal! I drink it with almond milk and it's incredible. I was a passionate lover of cinnamon toast crunch when I was growing up myself, but it's got way too much sugar for me now.

This is a GREAT cereal. Described very well. Just enough Cinnamon Sugar sweetness and all natural, which makes it taste all the better.

This is such a good (healthful) knock off of the real thing. I love Cascadian Farm products, especially the ones for kids (try CLifford Crunch!)

I see this all the time. I want to try them now. I'm a kid at heart so I love kid cereal.
