Shop Rite Light Fat Free Yogurt with Probiotics
I was drawn to Shop Rite's Light Fat Free Yogurt with Probiotics because of the interesting flavors. I picked up the Mango flavor at $0.69 for an 8 ounce container.
I dug in to the yogurt as soon as I got home. I'm not the biggest fan of mangoes as a fruit (I've always thought they had a weird texture), but the flavor of this yogurt was quite pleasing - and very much mango. It was also really thick, much more so than Dannon Light 'n Fit, which made me happy. The extra 2 ounces also helped satisfy me for longer, so that was excellent as well. Top this with some fruit and granola, and you'll be in heaven ... until it's finished.
Each 8-ounce cup of Shop Rite Light Fat Free Yogurt with Probiotics provides 120 calories, no fat, 120 mg of sodium (5% of the RDA), 15 grams of sugar, 9 grams of protein, and 25% of the RDA for calcium. Those extra 30-40 calories as compared with 6-ounce servings are definitely worth it for the extra protein and calcium.
I'm eager to try the other flavors of this yogurt (including strawberry, blueberry, and vanilla). For the price, the flavor and creaminess make this a great new addition to my list.
