Jell-O Sugar Free Fat Free Chocolate Fudge Instant Pudding and Pie Filling
I am most definitely a chocoholic, and I love pudding. There are so many ready-to-eat puddings out there (Jell-O, Kraft Handi Snacks and ZenSoy, to name a few), but lately I've been into making my own at home using Jell-O Sugar Free Fat Free Instant Pudding and Pie filling.
My preferred flavor is the Chocolate Fudge variety, although the others are good too (especially vanilla, butterscotch, and pistachio). One of my favorite ways to prepare this snack is to add the whole package of pudding mix to half of the recommended amount of milk (1 cup instead of 2) for a thicker, fudgier treat. My only word of advice is to be careful when mixing the pudding powder in the milk, as it has a tendency to spray everywhere if you're not careful.
Each serving of Jell-O Sugar Free Fat Free Chocolate Fudge Instant Pudding and Pie Filling (1/4 package) provides 35 calories, 310 mg of sodium (13% of the daily value), less than 1 gram of protein and fiber (8 grams of total carbohydrates). That adds up to 140 calories for an entire package (don't forget to add calories for the milk used to make this too).
I found this on sale at 4 for $3.00 - pretty good, I have to say. The bottom line: if you can get past the moderately high sodium and lack of nutrients in this pudding mix, this snack will put any chocolate craving to rest!, especially as a base - like to thicken protein shakes for example.
