Green Giant Simply Steam Garden Vegetable Medley

Green Giant Simply Steam Garden Vegetable MedleyGreen Giant Simply Steam Garden Vegetable Medley has sugar snap peas, roasted potatoes, red peppers & garden herbs, and since the photo on.the box looked so inviting, I decided to try it.

Just like the other Green Giant Simply Steam varietes reviewed (like the Green Giant Simply Steam Healthy Weight Vegetable Medley and Green Giant Simply Steam Baby Vegetable Medley), this one was delicious. The steaming bag is easy to manipulate and facilitates quick prep and clean-up. The vegetable medley turned out nicely - not too soft - and I enjoyed the garlic and parsley seasoning but could have done without the viscous margarine base. Overall, though, it was a pleasant eating experience.

Each 1/2 cup prepared serving of Green Giant Simply Steam Garden Vegetable Medley provides 50 calories, 0.5 gram of total fat, 280 milligrams of sodium (12% of the daily value), 2 grams of protein and 11 grams of carbohydrates, 1 gram of which is dietary fiber plus 20% of the recommended daily amount of vitamin C. There are 2 servings per container (check out Wegmans for more detailed information).

I paid $1.16 for an 8 ounce box at Target. Though I'm not a big fan of coating vegetables with oil, these vegetables were pretty tasty. I was especially pleased with how well the potatoes turned out since they get too soft easily. This product makes a great snack or side dish for a quick meal.

Does anyone else find the NI on this too good to be true?

I have to admit, this is my new fave go-to veggy side dish! It's quick and easy and low cal so I get my veggies and I don't have to mess with buying a ton of diff things and then cooking them! I come home, 10 mins later, and I have a yummy & healthy dinner to eat!
