Crispy Delites Mixed Veggie Chips
I've never been a big potato chip fan, but I do enjoy this crispy snack once in a while. Lately, I've been getting into veggie chips - there are so many interesting flavors like Terra Exotic Vegetable Chips and Danielle Spicy Carrot Crispy Veggie Chips. It's important to read labels, though, because some veggie chips pack as many calories and fat as regular potato chips. As Consumer Reports put in, sometimes veggie chips are no more than potato or corn flour and a little veggie powder or puree, offering no more fiber or vitamins than regular potato chips.
Not so with Crispy Delites, which are 100% natural veggie chips. These chips are baked not fried and the company boasts that they pack a pound of fresh veggies in each bag. A pound of veggies?? At only $1.39 per bag, I picked up the Mixed Veggies flavor to snack on. There are 6 vegetables in each bag. The ingredients are: Carrot, stringbean, apple, taro, celery, red onion, pumpkin, canola oil, sea salt.
Oh they are so delicious. The carrot and sweet potato chips were my favorites, as they were thick, crunchy, and the most chip-like. The string bean and celery were a bit strange at first but grew on me. The salt and canola oil add a lot of flavor for minimal nutritional damage.
Each 1.07 ounce serving of Crispy Delites Mixed Veggie Chips (there are 1.3 servings per bag) provides 115 calories, 3.5 grams of fat, 0.5 grams saturated, 120 mg sodium (5% of the daily value), 3 grams of protein, 3 grams of fiber plus 29% of the RDA for vitamin A, 20% vitamin C, 16% vitamin E, 6% calcium, and 9% iron (more details at their website).
Will I be buying these again? You bethca - when I have a craving for a crispy snack, these are what I'll be reaching for.

I would like to purchase some of these veggie chips but I am unable to find them anywhere. Can you suggest some stores or a possible web link where I can buy some? Thanks!
