Larabar Chocolate Cherry Jocalat Bar

Larabar Chocolate Cherry Jocalat BarAfter taking one bite of Larabar Chocolate Cherry Jocalat Bar, I was in love. This bar combines the best components of 3 bars already reviewed here on Iateapie.net, Balance Almond Brownie Bar, Larabar Jocalat Chocolate Coffee Bar and Larabar Cherry Pie Bar.

The overall feel of the bar reminds me of a much moister version of the Balance Almond Brownie Bar. However, it does not stop there. The texture has bits of almonds and walnuts dispersed throughout to add a bit of textural difference. Furthermore, the unsweetened cherry pieces added to the mix contribute a natural burst of sweetness to every bite. I would even go as far to say that it resembled a soft brownie dressed up with nuts and dried cherries (mental note: try microwaving the bar next time). Have you tasted this delicious bar for yourself? Is my brownie comparison pushing the limits?

The ingredients in Chocolate Cherry Jocalat Larabar are simply organic dates, organic almonds, organic walnuts, unsweetened cherries, organic cocoa powder and organic cocoa mass. Those natural components provide substantial energy in the form of 190 calories, 9 grams of fat (14% of the RDA), 2 grams of saturated fat (9% of the RDA), no cholesterol or sodium, 5 grams of fiber (18% of the RDA), 20 grams of sugar, 4 grams of protein and a whole host of vitamins and minerals (courtesy of mother nature). Also, each 48 gram bar provides 500 milligrams of Omega-3 and 3 grams of Omega-6 Fatty Acids.

Larabars generally sell for around $1.50 in my neck of the woods, which is not cheap but it seems that the Chocolate Cherry Jocalat Larabar has stolen my heart (and possibly my wallet).

I agree! Soo good!

I totally agree with you about this bar!! It rocks!!! I need to get more. I love when I find them on sale for $1.25 or even $1.00! I am looking forward to their new flavors....PB & J is one of them!!!

Man, that's a lot of sugar for such a small bar.
