Healthy Choice Cafe Steamers Cajun Style Chicken and Shrimp

Healthy Choice Cafe Steamers Cajun Style Chicken and ShrimpI've been intrigued by the idea of steaming food in the microwave, so when I saw this Healthy Choice Cafe Steamers Cajun Style Chicken and Shrimp, I knew I had to try it out. The creative packaging makes this product stand out from the other frozen entrees, but it is also rather bulky and not very space efficient.

I really liked that the sauce on the bottom layer was separate from the rest of the food on the top layer so that I could minimize the amount of sauce I used in the meal. The rice was a little dry, but the rest of the meal components were acceptable with the exception of the sauce. I don't claim to be a Cajun food expert, but the sauce was more like a plain tomato sauce with barely any kick. Altogether, though, it all turned out just okay - but I suppose that's better than wanting to throw it out.

Each Healthy Choice Cafe Steamers Cajun Style Chicken and Shrimp meal provides 260 calories from 4 grams of fat, 1 gram of which is saturated (6% and 5% of the daily value), 570 milligrams of sodium (24% DV), 15 grams of protein and 33 grams of carbohydrates which includes 3 grams of dietary fiber (12% of the DV) and 3 grams of sugars. This meal is also 6 Weight Watchers Points (more nutrition facts at the Healthy Choice website).

I paid $3.49 for this meal at Kroger. For the novelty of steaming the meal in the microwave, I suppose this meal is worth it. Nutritionally, the meal is pretty healthy too, but it didn't really taste that great. The packaging is nifty, but I'm not sure that can overcome the lackluster quality of the meal itself.

some time i really confuse about the amount of calorie intake per meal. most nutritionist recommend 400 calorie intake per meal and doctor recommend 5 & 600 per meal
