Tofutti Vanilla Cuties

Tofutti CutiesTofutti prides itself in making tasty dairy free foods. I have tried a few of their products and haven't been disappointed yet. And they have another winner in my book with Tofutti Cuties. These are dairy free ice cream sandwiches that are as delightful as their name. I tried the classic chocolate wafer and vanilla ice cream combo. I must say the wafer is soft and moist and the ice cream was smooth and creamy - you never would guess that it this is dairy free!

Each Tofutti Vanilla Cuties weighs in at 40 grams, which is the perfect snack size, and provides 130 calories, 6 grams of total fat which includes 1 gram of saturated fat (9% and 5% of the daily value), 2 grams of protein and 17 grams of total carbohydrates which includes 9 grams of sugars.

The ingredients list for the chocolate wafer start with unbleached wheat flour and sugar, for the ice cream, it's water, sugar & corn syrup solids (full ingredients list here).

Tofutti Cuties are available in a variety of fun flavors such as cookies and cream, totally vanilla, strawberry wave, key lime, coffee break, mint chocolate chip, and peanut butter. There's a fantastic review of a few of the flavors over at GoDairyFree.org. Whether you can consume dairy or not, go ahead and give these a try. They taste great and the size is just right for a portion-controlled snack.

Man, I wish I could find coffee break and some of the other songs, that sounds awesome.

Another great product recommendation!

I had a coupon for these and tried them - I thought they were horrible. Way too sweet and tasted nothing like ice cream. But, different strokes and all. I'm sure a lot of people do like them because I see them everywhere lately.

I think I may try this out. They are even in the lower calorie range for a sweet. Yum!

For those that can do dairy, the 100 cal "Slim a Bears" are awesome!

Allison is partially right- these really don't taste 100% like regular ice cream, but then there's not a lot out there that's dairy free that does. As far as taste goes, these are pretty darn good. I've got a dairy allergy so I can't have anything that has dairy in it. I've tried multiple brands & this is the one brand that has tasted good regardless of which product I've tried.

Allison, I recommend that you try another box or go for a different product such as the fudgy bars. Steer clear of the cheese if you can- that doesn't taste anything like cheese. (Not sure if you have a reason to avoid dairy.) It's not a bad taste, it's just far from being cheese.
