Nutritious Living Hi Lo Maple Pecan Cereal
Thank you Nutritious Living for making a cereal that I can eat the whole box and not feel guilty about! I actually requested a sample from the company since I could not seem to find this cereal anywhere, and the generous folks at Nutritious Living sent me a sample of each of the flavors of Nutritious Living Hi Lo Cereal Original, Strawberry, Vanilla Almond, and Maple Pecan. The Maple Pecan was my favorite.
Each 1/2 cup serving of this low carb cereal, provides 90 calories, and while there are other cereals that are lower in calories, I bet they can't boast 12 grams of protein, 7 grams of fiber and only 1 gram of sugar! The taste was perfect. It was sweet and crunchy even after bathing in my Blue Diamond Almond Milk. There were little pieces of graham and pecans amidst the hearty crunchy flakes. I was surprised there was only 1 grams of sugar. The high fiber and protein filled me up for hours (although I ate more than the 1/2 cup serving suggestion)
In addition to the nutrition facts already mentioned, Nutritious Living Hi Lo Maple Pecan Cereal also provides 2 grams of total fat, no saturated fat, 5% of the daily value for sodium (120 mg) and 13 grams of carbohydrates. The first few ingredients are Soy Grits, Wheat Gluten, and Soy Protein Isolate and the sweetener used is Splenda.

This product is a winner all around! Great taste, Great ingredients, and Great Nutrition - and it is vegetarian friendly You can find it online at Amazon.com, $4.59 for a 10 ounce box, which is expensive but well worth it. Bottom Line: 2 thumbs up

This sounds pretty good, though it looks as if they made the serving small to make it look like it contains fewer calories than it actually does.
Too bad the Maple Pecan and the Vanilla Almond use sucralose.
The Strawberry is my favorite by far. The Maple Pecan had an overly artificial maple flavor that didn't really appeal to me. If you enjoy dehydrated fruit in cereal (Special K Berry fans), I suggest giving the Strawberry variety a try.
