Crispy Delites Natural Veggie Carrot Chips
Although I liked Danielle Spicy Carrot Veggie Chips, there were certain things I didn't like about them - namely, the price and the amount of saturated fat that prevent me from buying it regularly. Still, given how tasty (and interesting) these chips were, I decided not to give up on finding a healthier carrot chip. I stumbled on Crispy Delites Natural Veggie Carrot Chips, a bag of which cost $1.50 (instead of $3.29 for Danielle's Carrot Chips).
Carrot chips are definitely one of my new favorite foods. They're naturally sweet, but balanced nicely with a bit of salt and oil. I'm glad I found a healthier version, with less fat but the same amount of taste. Yay Crispy Delites. ![]()
One 1.07 ounce bag of Crispy Delites Natural Veggie Carrot Chips provides 105 calories, (less than Danielle Chips' 130 for the same serving size), plus 3.5 grams of total fat and 0.5 grams of saturated fat. I thought they had 20% of the RDA for sodium, but turns out I was looking at the RDA percentage for potassium - these have only 120 mg of sodium (5% of the RDA), 390 mg of potassium, 1 gram of protein, 3 grams of fiber and 21 grams of (naturally occuring) sugar. Not too shabby!
These chips are made with only carrots, canola oil, and salt, and taste appropriately simple - the carrot flavor is delicious, and the canola oil and salt really make it shine.

I got them at Fairway in New York, but I've seen them all over in little and big supermarkets! You can also buy them online.
