Sierra Mist Free Cranberry Splash
On occasion, when I drink soda, I stick to diet sodas. While Diet Coke is pretty easy to find, I'm not too keen on the caffeine - I like my sodas caffeine free also. When I saw Sierra Mist Free Cranberry Splash, which has no caffeine, I knew I had to try it.
The soda has a reddish pink color for the cranberry representation. The cranberry flavor was represented with a tart yet sweet bite, and I really couldn't detect any "diet aftertaste" in this soda. It sort of reminds me of the delicious diet cherry limeades from Sonic Drive-Ins. I loved the taste and had no complaints with the taste.
One 8 ounce serving of Sierra Mist Free Cranberry Splash has no calories, no fat, no carbohydrates, and no protein. Each serving has 55 milligrams of sodium (2% DV), which classifies it as low sodium. This soda contains no juice, cranberry or otherwise and the sweeteners used are aspartame and acesulfame K, along with the colors Red 40 and Blue 1.
I paid $1.00 for a 2-liter bottle of this soda at Wal-Mart. As I said, this soda tastes great, and though it has the nutritional facts of a diet soda, it certainly doesn't taste that way. There really isn't any nutritional benefit from drinking this soda, but it won't contribute to overall sugar intake, which is good. I think this cranberry-flavored soda is only available for the holidays, so if you missed it, hopefully you can find it next time it rolls around.

Ace-K is one of my favorite artificial sweeteners for not tasting like chemicals. Thanks for the great writeup.
