Breyers Light Boosts Immunity Strawberry Cheesecake Yogurt

Breyers Light Boosts Immunity Strawberry Cheesecake YogurtBreyers Light Boosts Immunity Yogurt is enhanced with a special natural probiotic bacteria, "clinically proven to help strengthen your body's immune system." I suspect that almost every yogurt these days could make that same claim. Still, I picked up the Strawberry Cheesecake variety because ... it had cheesecake in the name, and each 6 ounce serving only has 80 calories.

There were a few strawberry pieces in this, unlike the Breyers Light Probiotic Plus Lowfat Yogurt where the fruit is blended. This "strawberry cheescake" yogurt should have been named "strawberry" instead, because the "cheesecake" flavor was nowhere to be found. There is no aftertaste but it does have that sort of "fake sugar", not so creamy taste that most light yogurts have. But let's face it,for a 6 ounce "light" yogurt with only 80 calories, I did not expect that this to taste phenomenal - and you shouldn't either.

Each 6 ounce serving of Breyers Light Boosts Immunity Strawberry Cheesecake Yogurt provides 80 calories, no fat, 4% of the RDA for sodium (5 mg), 6 grams of protein and 12 grams of carbohydrates which includes 7 grams of sugar and no fiber. There is also 20% of the RDA for calcium and vitamin D. The sweeteners used are aspartame & acesulfame K.

A 6 ounce container cost $0.54 at Wal-Mart. While this was okay, I prefer Dannon Light n Fit 0% Plus Strawberry Yogurt (60 calories per 4 ounces).

As a light yogurt fanatic, I couldn't agree more with you about this particular flavor, however, recently the newest addition to the Light Breyer's Line is great! The flavor I speak of, is Vanilla Bean, with *real* specks of Vanilla Bean! It's creamy with a decent flavor, and little to no aftertaste. I highly recommend it!

Kroger actually has a REALLY creamy 80 calorie yogurt (the carb smart, or something.) It's not fat free, but the fat is minimal and just helps to absorb the calcium, right?

I haven't been hugely impressed with any of Breyer's flavors. It's not that they're bad - they just aren't that special. I also thought they were rather watery.

The Oreos contribute 50 calories, not add an additional 50 - I updated the review. It was a bit confusing at first with the info on the website.
