Leclerc Praeventia Dark Chocolate Chip 70% Cocoa with Red Wine Extract Cookies

As I was wondering down the snack isle of the grocery store today, I was on the search for something completely different (because that is always more fun). I was about to settle for an oldie, but goodie: Annie's All Natural Honey Bunny Grahams, when I spotted a brand spankin' new product on my local Target's shelves: Leclerc Praeventia Dark Chocolate Chip 70% Cocoa with Red Wine Extract Cookies (what a name). There is a Zest of Orange with Green Tea Extract flavor as well, but my love for chocolate made the decision for me.
There are so many health claims on this 7.4oz box that I am not sure how to convey every stimulating statement to you without setting out to write a book. First off all, there are 10 grams of whole grain and 4 grams of fiber per 30 gram pouch (each box contains 7 little heart filled bags). The flavor is so intense and delightful that the seemingly small serving may actually satisfy even the biggest volume eaters.
Each heart shaped, crispy chocolate cookie is a compacted mixture of whole rolled oats, brown sugar, enriched and whole oat flour, visible mini dark chocolate chips and a few other nutritious attributes. Furthermore, the 70% dark chocolate and red wine extract offer your body a tasty source of powerful antioxidants. The texture is similar to that of a Nature Valley Crunchy Granola Bar, which is certainly not bad, just unexpected. The cookie tends to be a bit crumbly and slightly dry at first; but melds into a perfect concoction once it hits your mouth. The dark chocolate flavor is extremely concentrated and resembles pure dark chocolate (which is utterly amazing).
After enjoying one pouch, you will have consumed 150 calories, 6 grams of fat (9% of the RDA) including 1 gram of saturated fat (5% of the RDA), 95 mg of sodium (4% of the RDA), 7 grams of sugar, 2 grams of protein and 10% of the RDA for Iron. You could not ask for better nutritional information for a chocolate packed treat.
The cookies were selling for $4.00, and there was a $0.55 off coupon on every box, so I figured it was worth a try. Unfortunately, I forgot about the coupon until I was at home unloading my groceries, therefore, I may buy these again soon in an effort to make use of my handy discount. Otherwise, I would wait for them to go on sale. If you are truly in love with dark chocolate cookies, you must find Leclerc Praeventia's Dark Chocolate Cookies.

I tried these a few months ago and I loved them! They are different than any other cookies I've tried and have a real strong dark chocolate taste, but very yummy. Also the nutritionals are pretty good for a treat.

I LOVE THESE THINGS! I actually found this blog while Googling this snack...trying to seek out all the places I can find it. Even my picky husband loves having a bag of these a day. I find myself craving them, eating a bag and being totally satisfied. Even though they are dark chocolate, they are more like a fudge brownie flavor and not at all bitter like dark chocolate can be. They went on clearance at Target and I bought every box on the shelf...I hope I can still find them again!

I use to purchase your Praeventia granola bar bites at Target. I can't find them any more, could you please tell me where you can purchase your products. I would like to purchase other ones if the granola isn't available anymore. Thank you

Chocolate Chip Cookies with Cocoa sound real delicious. I'm going to have to try some of these and hope I can find them at Walmart tomorrow. 150 calories isn't bad at all for an entire pouch.
