Glenny's Lightly Salted Soy Crisps

Glennys Lightly Salted Soy CrispsWow. I finally have the answer for that age old question: If you were alone on a desert island and could only bring one food, what would you bring? My answer would be Glenny's Lightly Salted Soy Crisps. I know that sounds weird, but honestly, these are so good. I tried them a while ago, and since the day I tried them I eat them almost every day.

I tend to like salty snacks over sweet ones and these totally it the spot. Lightly Salted sometimes seems synonymous with plain, but not in this case! Of all the flavors of Glenny's Soy Crisps, this one is my favorite. They satisfy my chips craving anytime! In fact presented with chips and these, I would choose these.

The only problem I have with Glenny's Soy Crisps is their marketing. They claim a serving is 1/2 a bag, but honestly I don't know anyone who wouldn't end up eating the whole thing. Even so, the nutritionals are pretty outstanding. One ENTIRE 1.3 ounce bag contains 140 calories, 2 grams of total fat, 36 grams of carbohydrate which includes 3 grams of fiber and 2 grams of sugar, plus 10 grams of protein (nutrition stats vary slightly among the flavors).

I would say this is a pretty good snack. 10 grams of protein is amazing and at only 140 calories these barely make a dent. I buy mine in NYC and they are 99 cents per bag at my grocer, although I have seen them sold for as high as $1.49. A small price to pay for the yummyness that will ensue. I love these and I challenge anyone not to like them. Seriously they are that good!

what retailers sell glenny's products, like supermarkets and is there a product locater on their home page?

I've seen them at Whole Foods - not sure what other retailers carry them. And you can also buy them at the Glenny's website

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who eats the entire bag. The Genisoy ones are good too, Lyndsey, if you cannot find Glenny's.

@Tanya- Amazon has them cheaper at $23.85 instead of $35.76 from Glenny's.

Is this product available in Canada?

@Calgary alberta restaurants- I know they can be shipped to Canada by Glenny's ,but I don't know if they're available in stores.

If anyone is still looking for a place to buy them check this link-http://www.glennys.com/finding-glennys-products-i-8.html
