Celestial Seasonings Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride Tea
Celestial Seasonings Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride Tea is an all natural, caffeine free, no calorie treat that is sure to take your taste buds on a joyous ride throughout the wintery days and nights. After steeping the tea for a couple of minutes, I could not pull my nose away from my mug. You know that smell that fills the house while a batch of sugar cookies are enduring their final minute in the oven? Yeah, that's the smell and it's phenomenal. I am not one to usually sweeten my tea, so the taste was weak (as expected, but the delicious smell made up for it.
My mother eventually got tired of hearing me talk about the remarkable smell and decided to whip up a mug for herself. Three minutes, two packets of Splenda and one sip later; she was jumping up to turn the teapot back on so she could make herself another cup. I tasted my mother's sweetened version and fell in love. This is one tea that is great unsweetened and off the charts after a sprinkle of (insert your favorite sweetener here).
Of course tea has no calories, unless you decide to add a teaspoon or two of real sugar (as opposed to artificial sweetener). Either way, this tea is just as delicious as a cookie and will last much longer for astronomically fewer calories.
Finding Celestial Seasonings Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride Tea is anything but easy. My brother eventually found a box at Target and snatched it up, so I am not sure exactly what he paid. However, Celestial Seasonings teas usually run anywhere from $2.50-$3.50 in my town, which is more than worth it. Hurry before this variety vanishes for another year. So far it's still available online at LuckyVitamin.com ($2.61), Celestial Seasonings online store ($2.99) and Amazon.com ($3.25).

I love this tea! I served it one night to my 24 year old stepson and he loved it so next time I went back to the store I was lucky to find another box. We all really enjoy it. I put a little agave nectar in mine. Yum!
Oh Celestial Seasonings, your delicious teas will wreck havoc on my wallet :(
'Weak' is exactly how I would describe this tea. Smells wonderful, but you need to use at least two tea bags to get much flavor.
I'm glad to know it is still available! I bought some in December at Safeway and was so sad that I didn't stock up when I had the chance. I may have to do a little on-line shopping.
Mmm, speaking of teas, most recently I opted to try Tazo Tea's "Passion," version from Starbucks, and wow is all I can say. It by far had to be one of the greatest, if not th best teas I've had. I'm not usually a hot-tea drinker, but this one is beyond incredible. It is infused with an array of fruit flavors, with a pleasant mix of hot-pink/crimson color to give it an even more alluring appeal. Sweetened with two splenda (or the sweetener of your choice) it is a delectable treat - a calorie- free one at that!
Adding a teaspoon of honey or maple syrup is the best!
I love this tea! I add a little honey and a splash of vanilla soy milk, and it tastes great. It's so soothing when I have a sore throat or if it's a cold day.
