Seeds of Change Venetian Penne Marinara
Amazing, fantastic, delicious, decadent, fabulous are just a few adjectives I would use to describe the delicious Seeds of Change line of frozen entrees. I usually rather have a fresh meal instead of a frozen entrée but sometimes it's just easier and more convenient to throw a frozen meal into the microwave and have it done in a few minutes.
I've eaten probably every kind of Lean Cuisine and half of the Weight Watchers Smart Ones, and while I have found some good ones, none (so far) can compare to Seeds of Change Venetian Penne Marinara. It just doesn't taste okay, it tastes absolutely wonderful. The pasta is covered with a combination of mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses that melt and combine with a really thick and savory tomato sauce. The flavors are strong (in a great way) and you can taste every single ingredient.
One Seeds of Change Venetian Penne Marinara entree provides 300 calories, 9 grams of total fat (14% of daily value (DV)) which includes 3 grams of saturated fat (15% of the DV), 580 mg of sodium (24% of the daily value), 12 grams of protein and 40 grams of total carbohydrates including 4 grams of fiber (17% of RDA) and 2 grams of sugars.
I bought it for $4.49 at my local Whole Foods, which is definitely pricier than most entrees, but consider that Seeds of Change directly contributes 1% of net sales to sustainable organic agriculture initiatives worldwide. Their mission is nothing short of amazing.
