Lean Cuisine Asian-Style Pot Stickers
Lean Cuisine describes their Asian Style Pot Stickers meal as having, "tender dumplings filled with a blend of chicken, cabbage, onions and carrots, all in a golden oriental sauce with soy and ginger. Accompanied by long grain rice with broccoli, carrots, red bell peppers and seasonings." I really liked all the vibrant colors of this Lean Cuisine Asian-Style Pot Stickers meal but was skeptical about the quality of the pot stickers. I ended up being pleasantly surprised.
The heating directions say to microwave at 50% power for 8-9 minutes. I chose to microwave at full power for less time, which may explain why the tops of the pot stickers dried out. Nevertheless, they were very good, from the chewy dumpling wrapper to the well-sized chicken and vegetable filling. The rice and veggie mix was a reliable complement to the pot stickers. The dipping sauce really enhanced the whole meal with a slight tartness amidst the sweetness.
One package of Lean Cuisine Asian-Style Pot Stickers has 260 calories and 4 grams of total fat, 1 gram of which is saturated. There are 15 milligrams of cholesterol, 530 milligrams of sodium (22% of the daily value), 9 grams of protein. and 47 grams of carbohydrates, including 3 grams of dietary fiber and 9 grams of sugars.
I paid $2.20 for this entree while it was on sale at Kroger, and it was money well spent as I really liked the taste of the meal. Plus it was fun to eat the pot stickers. Although, Jess over at HeatEatReview gave these 3 out of 5 - she is right about them not being very filling - I rated them a little higher because they are so darn tasty.
