Blue Bunny No Sugar Added Reduced Fat Banana Split Ice Cream
After a recent trip to the grocery store, my dad returned with a tub of Blue Bunny No Sugar Added Reduced Fat Banana Split Ice Cream which he bought for $4.99. I was really skeptical at first since I've had Blue Bunny ice cream before and I definitely preferred Breyer's slow-churned. But then, when I read the description of "Real pineapple and cherry pieces, vanilla ice cream, a strawberry-banana ribbon and a fudge ribbon, and a medley of mixed nuts" I could not WAIT until desert time.
After my dinner, I quickly grabbed this tempting tub of ice cream, and to my delight, it was amazing
. Every bite was simply divine. The ice cream was light - the banana flavor wasn't overwhelming allowing the strawberry to shine through and then there was a note of fudge tantalizing your taste buds every now and again. I could taste the cherries and the crunchiness of the nuts in every bite. Did I already mention that this was delicious?!
One 1/2 cup serving (94 grams) of Blue Bunny No Sugar Added Reduced Fat Banana Split Ice Cream provides 120 calories, 5 grams of total fat (8% of the recommended daily amount), 3.5 grams of which are saturated fat (15% of the RDA), 3 grams of protein, 7 grams of sugar alcohols and 20 grams of carbohydrate which includes 2 grams of fiber and 3 grams of sugar.
This is simply the best ice cream I have ever had (and let me tell you, I've had my fair share of ice cream). My entire family also loved it and we ended up finished the entire tub in 2 nights. The next week, my mom actually went out and bought 2 more, so I think this is going to be a permanent fixture on our grocery list. There is a $1.00 off coupon on the BlueBunny website, so get it before it's gone.

Sounds yummy! What kind of nuts are in it? I'm allergic to most, but peanuts and almonds are okay to eat.
Emily, I've never had it but I'd assume walnuts just because that's what people usually put in with banana flavored things. Maybe you'll luck out and it'll be peanuts though!!! I doubt almonds...
Simply the best ice cream you've ever had??? WOW. I'm buying a tub.
emily,
when i had it remember almonds and walnuts being in it.. but when i looked it up the site had a warning for cashews, almonds, filberts, walnuts, pecans, Brazil nuts and peanuts..
so hopefully you can still try it!

Hmm, I've had bad experiences with sugar-free ice creams before, but I'll give this unique flavor a shot!
I'm waiting for the edit where it says " and then the next morning, I spent some quality time with my toilet"
NO THANK YOU SUGAR FREE!! BEWARE!!
I was excited to try this and bought some with the aforementioned coupon. Sorry to say though . . . it was really, really bad. Icky sugar substitute aftertaste. Blech.
I bought it too. It wasn't too bad, except for the aftertaste though.
