This week it is all about Ice cream, after all
July is National Ice cream Month. Check out all our
Reviews of Ice cream of the low fat variety of course.
Try a flavor you haven't tried before.
I tried the high fiber version because I know that the lack of fiber in the other kinds would leave me famished. Each 60 gram bar has 210 calories, 4 grams total fat, 4 grams of protein and 43 grams of carbohydrates which includes 10 grams of fiber and 13 grams of sugar)and. That is almost half of your daily requirements for fiber! Still, even with the flavor being good, I am not too impressed. I think this bar is a little too high in calories and sugars for me. Also, I tend to be geared towards higher protein bars. They tend to curb my hunger better. With only 4 grams of protein, I wasn't satisfied. Needless to say I will not be buying these again. I can get my fiber, and my oats elsewhere. It is important to remember that just because a food has something healthy as the main ingredient (Oatmeal), that doesn't always guarantee a healthy end product! Quaker does have some better options though like the Quaker Simple Harvest Honey Roasted Nut Granola and Cinnamon Brown Sugar Granola Bar. Unfortunately these high fiber bars are a total loss. Taste:

Candace from Quaker said: There's a high fiber instant oatmeal (which can be portable too)....it has 160 calories, 2 g fat,, 4 gram protein, 10 g of fiber and 7 grams of sugar...some people might opt for this version. |

Frightening ingredients! Packs of oatmeal are much better, yes.
