Genisoy Crispy Dippers White Cheddar

Genisoy Crispy Dippers White CheddarI love crispy and crunchy snacks like chips, popcorn, nuts, crackers - these are the kind of things that I eat in moderate portions for my between-meal munching. Ever a fan of cheese-flavored crunchies, I decided to pick up a bag of Genisoy Crispy Dippers White Cheddar after I made some onion dip - after all, they looked to be the perfect scoop.

I was surprised at how large each crisp was - at least 1.5 inches long. Every crisp is curved to a varying degree, making some scoopers and others dippers. The texture is light, airy, and crunchy, similar to a rice cake or puffed Cheetos. The flavor is a surprisingly sharp white cheddar flavor, far more like a real cheese than the aforementioned orange Cheetos. I was also pleasantly surprised to see that only a couple were broken. My only complaint about these is that after I ate them, I experienced a "beany soy" aftertaste, which wasn't terrible, but certainly off-putting.

One serving of Genisoy Crispy Dippers White Cheddar (1 ounce, or about 12 crisps), contains 120 calories, 2.5 grams of total fat (4% of the daily value), no saturated or trans fat, 11% of the daily value for sodium (270 mg), 7 grams protein and 16 grams of carbohydrates which includes 2 grams of fiber and 1 gram of sugar.

One bag cost me $2.oo which was a sticker shock for it being only 3 ounces! The nutritive stats are pretty impressive though and with the exception of the aftertaste, the flavor is great. But with the cost, I'll only buy these on sale.

I have been pretty consistently disappointed with Genisoy's crunchy treats. Glenny's has treated me MUCH better :):):):):):). Big servings, great nutrition, and they taste awesome! Especially the soy crisps!

I like these as well as all their other similar chips and crisps. They are low in weight watcher points, good in protein.

I count out the number that is 2 WW points, then break them up into smaller pieces and eat one little piece at a time. I I like these for a late-night snack or for a quick on the road snack - I keep a bag in the car.

I've even done that as a substitute for movie popcorn. Of course it's not nearly as much in quantity, but it's better than no snack at all since I'm not willing to use my points on candy or a big popcorn.

I would like to try Glenny's, but haven't found themin m y area, and am not willing to invest in a big order in case I don't like them.
