Weight Watcher's Smart Ones Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Sundae

Weight Watcher's Smart Ones Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough SundaeHave you ever dreamed of staying on your diet while indulging in cookie dough, ice cream and chocolate at the same time? With Weight Watcher's Smart Ones Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Sundae, your dreams officially become a reality. Furthermore, anything that is awarded Best Ice Cream Sundae by Women's Health Magazine (2007), deserves a spot on my grocery list.

One thing I like about Weight Watchers is that they recognize that we will all indulge from time to time, and they attempt to make great tasting, appropriate portion sized deserts that are not too calorie laden. With this sundae, a cookie crumble crust is topped with soft served style ice cream, along with a drizzle of chocolate syrup and chocolate chip cookie dough chunks - which taste exactly like you pulled them off of the break and bake sheet (I had 16 little chunks on my dessert, which was more than satisfying). I also just realized that the ice cream is cookie-flavored, which is why the cookie aspect of this dessert is so prevalent, but I had no problem with the taste and texture of this product; it was spot on!

Now, I certainly hope you don't expect that with all the cookie, chocolate chips and ice cream in this dessert, there would be little or no calories. There is no way that this would be anything other than an occasional treat. Each 75 gram personal dessert worth 3 Weight Watcher's points and provides 170 calories, 3 grams of fat (5% of the RDA), 1.5 grams of saturated fat (7% of the RDA), 5 mg of cholesterol (2% of the RDA), 100 mg of sodium (4% of the RDA), 1 gram of fiber (5% of the RDA), 15 grams of sugar and 3 grams of protein.

The ingredient list starts with low-fat ice cream and ends with beet juice (go figure), including a wide array of ingredients in between. The ingredient list is not listed on the Weight Watchers website (maybe they are ashamed ... just kidding); then again, Weight Watchers does not claim to be all natural or organic by any means, so by purchasing this product you are compromising those aspects of your diet. That being said, as an occasional dessert, I give Weight Watcher's Smart Ones Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Sundae two thumbs up.

I paid $1.79 for not one, but two delectable desserts. Next time you are in the mood for a cookie dough fix, skip Weight Watcher's partially hydrogenated oil filled Ice Cream Cups and pick up a box of these Cookie Dough Sundaes instead.

I totally agree! The cookie dough sundae is my all time favorite weight watchers dessert (I especially LOVE the fudgy middle).

Definitely worth checking out. And 170 cals for a splurge isn't bad at all. Heck, if you would get that out at a resturant it would be three times that!

This was quite possibly the most disgusting thing I've ever bought. I checked the expiration date-a whole month after the date of purchase. I opened one as soon as I got home, eagerly anticipating the sundae pictured on the box. Imagine my surprise to find a soupy mess of white bubbles, chunks of brown goo, and water swirling around the bottom. I tried one anyone to find ice chips, a soup of water and vanilla flavoring. I immediatly threw both away. This is not worth it at all.

Oh no! I am sorry you had a bad experience (this is one of my favorite flavors). Did you let it re-freeze before digging in? I am always tempted to eat one right when I get home from the store, but they thaw VERY quickly and need a few hours to firm back up into ice cream. Also, the appearance of ice chips makes me think that the store that was storing them was not doing it properly.

I love these sundaes! They were worth the money (a little expensive, but worth it!) They are however a little small, which is no big surprise for portion control!
