Weight Watchers Smart Ones Mocha Fudge Sundae

Weight Watchers Smart Ones Mocha Fudge SundaeWho would have thought that a Mocha Fudge Sundae would be considered for a Weight Watchers product? It just doesn't sound like the stuff that people watching their weight should eat. Nevertheless, Weight Watchers believes that a little of what you like is a good thing - and I agree. I have tried many of the Weight Watcher's Smart Ones Desserts, including the Giant Chocolate Cookies and Cream Ice Cream Bar with success, so I had high hopes when I picked up their Mocha Fudge Sundae.

Weight Watcher's describes their 3 point treat as "low-fat mocha-flavored ice cream over a chocolate crust, topped with fudge sauce and mini chocolate chips". HELLO! On eating it, one very apparent thing that they forgot to mention was the sprinkle of crunchy nuts that accompanies the chocolate chips. Once again, an elaborate yet personal sized tasty dessert comes from the Weight Watcher's production line. Mine wasn't as pretty as the one on the box, but after my first bite, I couldn't have cared less. Each bite is full of smooth mocha ice cream, Oreo cookie-type crumbs, and and crunchy chocolate chips and almond bits.

I paid $1.79 for two tasty chocolate packed sundae desserts. Each one (69 grams) contains 160 calories, 4 grams of total fat (6% of the RDA), 2 grams of saturated fat (9% of the RDA), 85 mg of sodium (3% of the RDA), 1 gram of fiber (2% of the RDA), 15 grams of sugar (27 grams of total carbohydrates) and 3 grams of protein.

As delicious as Weight Watcher's Smart Ones Mocha Fudge Sundae was, I intend on sticking with the other varieties that do not contain partially hydrogenated oils. This particular dessert would not have made it into my cart if I had taken the time to read the lengthy ingredient list.

If you are looking for a simpler and more natural sweet addition to your day, I suggest that you try Sweet Nothings Dairy Free Fudge Bar.

Just to let you know, smartones and weight watchers are different brands. So, the giant chocolate cookies and cream bars are a different company than this one.
