Reader Favorites: What is Your Favorite Brand of Low Fat Microwave Popcorn

PopcornWhat's your favorite brand of Low Fat Microwave Popcorn? None of the "low fat" popcorns reviewed has received more than 3 out of 5 for the rating! So we need your help - Is there a brand that actually tastes good on it's own, or does everybody do what I do and add a little microwaved margarine or buttery spray?

I know it's not the healthiest version but there just is no substitute for Pop Secret Homestyle popcorn. If it's an extra couple hundred calories or fat grams it is by far worth it to me than wasting my time munching on something that has no taste or satisfaction at all. I've tried every single brand of popcorn available in my area and I'm not kidding...popsecret homestyle cannot be beat for taste, crunch, satisfaction. Now let's have the same question but for tortilla chips!

Allie, PopSecret Homestyle now comes in 100 calorie bags - have you seen it?! It doesn't taste quite the same, but it's definitely close enough when you consider the calories saved. All Pop Secret 100 calorie bags or low fat flavors are my favorite when comparing the brands out there that I have tried.

What I enjoy is Pop Warner's Light Butter Popcorn (which I get on the cheap from Wal-mart)- it's only 20 calories a serving (one cup, popped), and lists 5 servings a bag (popped). It even tastes good, which I love!

I make mine in a ye olden day stove-top metal popper. I use a butter-flavored oil to pop it, and top with with sea salt. It's the best popcorn you'll ever taste. :D

@Wolf Goettin I'm definitely thinking of going back to the old fashioned pop in it on the stovetop - or in an air popper.

Orville's 100 calorie mini bags in Kettle Korn are the best. I eat two bags sometimes which I guess defeats the entire purpose of the miniag. Haha. The butter flavor isn't that great because it tastes really bland.
