Diet Trash: BlueBunny Personals Ice Cream
Diet Trash is about the food products you might eat because you think you're doing something better for your diet, but you'll be surprised to know, they're not.
Ice cream is just one of those deserts that you could go on eating forever (or until your stomach hurts), if you're not careful - it's just that good. BlueBunny decided to help us out with portion control by providing a smaller individual package dubbed BlueBunny Personals. Now, BlueBunny doesn't have any "dieting buzzwords" on their packaging, so I certainly didn't expect it to be too diet friendly, BUT I thought the smaller "personal package" would be 1 serving.
It turns out that it's 2 servings, which I suppose is not too bad - except you're paying more than if you bought a tub. In addition, the nutrition facts left me in shock. In particular, each serving (half the tub), contains 23%-30% of the RDA for saturated fat. That means 1 personal pack is over 50%-60% of the RDA for saturated fat - guaranteed to help you pack on the pounds. The Peanut Butter Panic is the worst offender with 200 calories and 30% of the RDA for saturated fat [Full nutrition facts available at the BlueBunny website].
We've said it before, and we'll say it again, get Slow Churned or Double Churned ice cream - totally delicious and low fat or fat free. We heart Edys Slow Churned Rocky Road and Breyers Chocolate Cookies and Cream Double Churn Fat Free Ice Cream.

I agree with you on that. However, occasionally I will get the Personals®
Light Ice Cream
Super Fudge Brownie flavor, which contains only 6g of fat and 3g of saturated fat per container (it's the 'lightest' of the bunch and not so so bad for a treat...even on a diet)!
