This week it is all about Ice cream, after all July is National Ice cream Month. Check out all our Reviews of Ice cream of the low fat variety of course. Try a flavor you haven't tried before.

My dad eats at Jason's Deli quite frequently to grab a quick lunch and get back to work. Today, he noticed a new addition to the cracker section, Doctor Kracker Organic Pumpkin Cheese Snack Flats. Since they had the word "Organic" in the title, he thought of me (thanks Dad).

I am a very lucky girl because these crackers are absolutely delicious. Each "snack flat" possesses a firm snap, after which you discover the array of airy layers that are part of this savory cracker. Atop the base of sesame seed, flax and whole wheat lies organic cheddar cheese and organic pumpkin seeds, both of which add to the robust flavor. The cheese creates a taste that is similar to the original Goldfish crackers or Cheez-it. Overall, the taste of Dr. Kracker's creation deserves a 5 lip-smacking rating for taste.

After munching on these crackers, it was time to turn my attention to the nutrition facts. Each serving (0.45 ounces) contains 50 calories, 2 grams of fat (3% of the RDA), 1 gram of saturated fat (4% of the RDA), 95 mg of sodium (4% of the RDA), 2 grams of fiber (8% of the RDA), NO sugar and 2 grams of protein.

This crunchy, organic snack flat has a short nutritious ingredient list that I am pleased to fuel my body with. I really love that I can see and taste every ingredient that goes into this product. As far as I can tell (from their online store locator), they are sold mostly at health food stores or Whole Foods for about $1.00 per 1 ounce pouch.

These crackers are perfect make a perfect base for tuna. If you have some cash to spare or are in need of a new crunchy, savory snack, then Doctor Kracker Organic Pumpkin Cheese Snack Flats are something you should definitely consider giving a try.
