Kashi All Natural Five Cheese Tomato Pizza
The first bite was delicious and it kept delighting me the more I ate. It was cheesy (of course) and the sauce is not too heavy. I also really liked the thin crust. The folks at HeatEatRview hated it and called it bland, and I usually agree with them, but on this one I differ. I liked the fact that it was light and not greasy. One serving of Kashi Five Cheese Tomato Pizza is 1/3rd of the pizza, and provides 290 calories, 9 grams of total fat including 3.5 grams of saturated fat (14% and 18% of the recommended daily amount respectively), 7% of the RDA for cholesterol, 24% of the RDA for sodium (570 mg), 14 grams of protein and 37 grams of total carbohydrates which includes 4 grams of protein and 4 grams of fiber (18% of the RDA). The first time I ate half the pizza for dinner which would be 435 calories and 27% of the RDA for saturated fat, but I was totally full and didn't eat anything else, so I'm pretty happy with that. The fat content is a little high, but that's the price we pay for eating a pizza with 5 cheeses - perhaps not the best choice if you're on a diet. Kashi also says this pizza is Vegetarian. One pizza (12.5 ounces) cost $4.99, which at first seemed like a lot, but compare that to Wolgang Puck All Natural Four Cheese Tomato & Pesto Pizza which is 6.99, and this seems like a bargain. Plus consider that this quick meal that can feed 2 people, or 1 person can make 2 meals, then the price doesn't seem so bad. I enjoyed this, and would buy it again when the craving for pizza hits.
