Weight Watchers Smart Ones Fiesta Quesadilla

Weight Watchers Smart Ones Fiesta QuesadillaWeight Watchers Smart Ones Fiesta Quesadilla is a folded tortilla filled with a three-cheese blend, black beans, corn, red bell peppers and onions. Each box comes with 2 quesadillas, but only 1 is a serving. I don't know how anyone could only eat only 1 quesadilla and call it a meal. In fact I had both for lunch and was still hungry.

The taste is also less than spectacular. The problem is that all the ingredients in the fiesta quesadilla blend together and there are no contrasting flavors. I think this meal could have been helped greatly by adding salsa or tomato sauce, which is ironic because I thought that Weight Watchers other Fiesta meal, the Fiesta Chicken, had way too much tomato sauce.

One serving of Weight Watchers Fiesta Quesadilla (1 single) has 220 calories, 5 grams of total fat (8% of the RDA), 2.5 grams of saturated fat (13% of the RDA), no trans fat, 26% of the RDA for sodium (630 mg), 10 grams of protein and 32 grams of total carbohydrates which includes 1 gram of sugar and 54% of the RDA for fiber (14 grams).

The nutrition facts are not bad if you choose to eat just 1, but like I mentioned before, 1 is just not enough for anything but a snack. A box (with 2) cost $2.97, but this is not one of my favorite Weight Watchers frozen entrees. I much prefer I would definitely go for the Weight Watchers Calzones over this.

Also, putting together a healthy quesadilla from scratch isn't as involved as say, a calzone - so there's not even the incentive of ease.

Using a cup of plain yogurt provides a contrasting flavor and a dip for the quesadilla making it more satisfying and filling!

I always find it strange when calories and nutritional facts don't add up-9*5+(32-14)*4+10*4= ~160 calories. It's not you-I see this a lot.

@Aaron - fiber is a carbohydrate, so it also has 4 calories per gram (meaning you wouldn't minus 14 from your above calculation). So:
fat = 5*9
protein = 10*4
carbs = 32*4
Total = 213
