No Pudge Cappuccino Fudge Fat Free Brownies

No Pudge Cappuccino Fudge Fat Free BrowniesNo Pudge says that their Fat Free Fudge Brownie Mix is the only brownie mix that makes rich, fudgy brownies with NO FAT using only the finest all natural ingredients - no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives (and only 2 Weight Watchers Points).

I opted for the Cappuccino flavor and like the directions said, I added fat-free vanilla yogurt to the mix, all in a big bowl, and began to stir. Expect to put some elbow grease in in because it seemed like the yogurt and chocolate mix repel each other. After a minute or two though, a thick, deep chocolate concoction offered consolation to my slightly aching arm, so I scooped the batter into a baking dish and did one of my favorite things, lick the spoon (and whatever I could scrape out of the practically bare bowl) - that's how good it was!

After 38 minutes in the oven (4 minutes longer than the recommendation), I pulled the brownies out. They didn't look like they were 100% ready yet but I was fearful of overcooking them, so out they came. I'm glad I didn't leave them in any longer because after they cooled, I was treated to a fantastic fudgy, rich, coffee enhanced dessert. They are very dense and sticky (in a fantastic way), so I would take their advice on dipping your knife into hot water before each cut. Don't expect a picture perfect brownie (unless, possibly, you cook it longer). The flavor is amazing and presents a tasty balance of coffee and rich chocolate flavor. YUM! My mom sums it up perfectly when she said, "It's so moist, it's almost like eating cookie dough!"

The all natural No Pudge Cappuccino Fudge Fat Free Brownies produces 12 brownies about 2 inches in size (or 9 if, like me, a 2 inch brownie won't cut it). Each treat has 120 calories, no fat, 100 mg of sodium (8% of the RDA), 2 grams of protein and 28 grams of total carbohydrates, which includes 1 gram of fiber (5% of the RDA),and 22 grams of sugar. The ingredient list is short and sweet (literally). The first ingredient is pure can sugar followed by unbleached wheat flour, Dutch cocoas, dark coffee (really shines through), egg whites, cornstarch, wheat gluten, salt and baking soda.

The sugar content places them in the treats category of your diet, but rightfully and satisfactorily so. I paid an astronomical $3.49 for this brownie mix, but it was my one splurge for the week and completely worth it. After my stash of Cappuccino brownies is eaten, I look forward to tasting one of No Pudge's other alluring brownie creations. Check out their site for more recipes (and don't miss the section the cute e-card section).

I love these. I like using them to make the souffle recipe (available on their website). It's amazing! The only flavor I'm not fond of is the raspberry. To me, it tastes very artificial. Also, I find that the best yogurt to use with these if Yoplait light's fat free vanilla. One small container is the perfect amount. Yum!

Has anyone ever tried using plain nonfat yogurt to cut down the sugar content?

i've had the raspberry and original flavors and really enjoyed both of them. Even my family (who are always saying that fat free stuff is gross) said they tasted like normal brownies!

Thanks for the review! I've always wanted to try cappuccino, but after trying raspberry and hating it (I really appreciated spending that $4.99), I've been a little less adventurous. Original is great though!

I agree, the cappuccino flavor is good. Have to say though, it's more like fudge than brownies - I have no probably with that!

These sound delicious. I would love to give these a try. I enjoy brownies, however i very rarely eat them because they are usually loaded with calories. The cappuccino flavor sounds really good as well.
