Live Active Nut Harvest Crunch Cereal

Post describes their Live Active Nut Harvest Crunch Cereal as having "whole grain flakes with lightly sweetened crunchy clusters, almonds, pecans and walnuts." There is also 3 grams of prebiotic fiber per serving (8 grams of fiber total), and that prebiotic activity is at the heart of the Live Active line of foods which includes Breakstones Live Active Cottage Cheese (read our review) and Live Active Cheeses.
This cereal was crunchy with a heavy taste of cinnamon but it's not sweet and it seemed like something was lacking. Although the almonds and other nuts can clearly be seen, they didn't make the cereal any more tasty, in fact I didn't really 'taste' the nuts - since I hate walnuts and dislike pecans I would have noticed their presence. The prebiotic fiber is supposed to help with digestive health, which translates to increased bowel movements, but after a week of this cereal, I noticed no difference in the frequency of my bathroom visits.
One serving of Live Active Nut Harvest Crunch Cereal has (1 cup) has 220 calories, 6 grams of fat (9% of the RDA), 0.5 grams of saturated fat (3% of the RDA), 11% of the RDA for sodium, 5 grams of protein and 39 grams of total carbohydrate which includes 32% of the RDA for fiber (8 grams) and 8 grams of sugar.
One 13 ounce box cost $3.50 at the time of purchase (Post cereals regularly go on sale thought), but unfortunately for Live Active cereal, the taste is just so-so, there are many cereals with less calories, including our list of 10 low calorie cereals, and Fiber One Cereal with Honey Clusters has more than 50% of the daily value for fiber per serving and tastes better - so no, I won't be buying this again. I will instead get the prebiotics from Dannon Activia or YoPlait YoPlus.

I didn't like the nut harvest that much either,but the berry crunch was very good.
Like you said there are healthier cereals out there but it's nice to have something new every once and awhile.
See I love the Mixed Berry Crunch LiveActive cereal! The clusters have real pieces of fruit in them. The flakes are a lot better than Fiber One or All Bran
I love the Mixed Berry Fruit and I am "going " now twice a day ... I eat almost a box daily , dry no milk have fruit then whatever I wantat dinner and I am losing a pound a week .. What I really like is that the bloating , my biggest problem, has disappeared .. I love this cereal...!!
well im eatin my first ever bowl of it right now and dadgum its good! Course I did put a little packet of sweet n low in there but those nut clusters really do taste I think. I LOVE it!! IMO its the best one of the "healthy" cereals I've tasted so far and its got tons of vitamins and stuff. Well see bout the bathroom tho :P
day 2 of this cereal and I can tell you now that it DOES work! yep, yep no doubt about that :P And even tastier today than I remember yesterday. LOVE IT! :D
I absolutely love the Harvest Nut Crunch and think it is sweet enough with just milk. The fiber definately works and I eat it every morning.
I was having trouble going to the bathroom regular and then I tried the Harvest Nut Crunch and it really worked. Now the problem that I am having is finding it in my grocery stores and I have even tried to find it at Wal-Mart and I can't seem to find any stores that are still carring the havest nut crunch. Can someone please tell me how I can get my hands on it again?!?
I absolutely love the Harvest Nut Crunch..not only do I get fiber and protein, but I get a great taste and love the crunchiness of all the ingredients. I eat a lot of this particular cereal, just have to watch the sugar....
I don't like dry cereal as a whole. I had stopped eating it altogether. I was drinking prune juice all the time -twice a day for regularity. Then I tried Live active berry. It's not too sweet. It tastes great and it keeps me regular. Now I'v been looking all over for more, and I can't find it in any stores. Where can I purchase more? Can I order it directly from you? I JUST LOVE IT!!!

I found it for sale on netgrocer,but it's pretty expensive($5.75 a box).I would wait to see if Amazon gets it back in stock Karen ;their usually cheaper.
I'm trying to find a source for buying Nut Harvest Crunch,my very favorite cereal that has disappeared from local supermarket shelves. I don't like berry flavor in cereal, but that one is also no longer available here.

I found mine at my big lots, the man said they were probably discontinuing it and that is why they have it.

I love the nut harvest crunch. I normally don't like cereal b/c they're either too bland or too sweet...this one is perfect! Is it really discontinued? I hope I can find at least a few boxes.
