Diet Pepsi Jazz Caramel Cream Soda
I have many fond childhood memories of making caramel corn at Christmas, munching on caramel apples at the fair, and plotting attacks on the bowl of caramel oatmeal cookie dough my mom would whip up for the neighbors. When I spotted Diet Pepsi Caramel Cream on sale, the inner caramel-holic emerged and I snatched it up.
I rushed home, threw the rest of the groceries haphazardly into the fridge, popped the tab on my new found caramel soda, inserted my customary pink straw, and took a sip. Then I took another. Before I knew it I was staring contemplatively at an empty 12 oz. can, trying to put my finger on its unique flavor. It's definitely sweeter than a normal diet Pepsi but it didn't bring up any caramel nostalgia until after quite a few sips. Even then it was more like a slight aftertaste rather than a full on creamy flavor.
Diet Pepsi Jazz Caramel Cream Soda has no calories, sugar, or carbohydrates and is sweetened with aspartame. Each 12 ounce can has 38 mg of caffeine as compared to 35 found in normal diet Pepsi.
Because of its unique flavor Caramel Cream is a soda that you will either love or hate it. I loved it and managed to finish an entire 12 pack in four days. Somehow another case magically found its way into my grocery cart this morning. Don't ask me how!
