Weight Watchers Fruit Inspirations Orange Sesame Chicken
Weight Watchers Smart Ones Fruit Inspirations meals are new fruit inspired recipes developed with the help of celebrity chef Devin Alexander, author of The Biggest Loser Cookbook and host of Discovery Health's Healthy Decadence.
I tried the Orange Sesame Chicken which is "inspired" by mandarin oranges. The meal consists of breaded chicken tenderloins in a zesty sesame orange sauce with rice. At first, I had a bite of the rice mixed with the sauce. It was very sweet but a little bland. The chicken is the real star of the meal. There are big chunks which are breaded, but not in the way that there is more breading than there is meat. It's also nice and tender, not too dry and excellent with the sauce.
The Weight Watchers Fruit Inspirations Orange Sesame Chicken meal has 320 calories, 8 grams of fat which is 12% of the recommended daily amount, 1.5 grams of saturated fat (6% of the RDA), 7% of the RDA for cholesterol, 28% of the RDA for sodium, 14 grams of protein and 48 grams of total carbohydrates which includes 12 grams of sugar and 2 grams of fiber which is 8% of the RDA.
A bit too much sodium - I don't think it's too much to ask to keep the sodium in meals to under 25% - do you? A box cost $2.92 and although this meal can only be "inspired" by oranges because its close to the bottom of the ingredients list, overall, I enjoyed it and would buy it again when I'm in the mood for something with a sweet taste.

I can't image this being good.
This meal sounds really good! I don't think I've ever had a frozen meal with rice where the rice had flavor, though. They should work on that :)
