This week it is all about Ice cream, after all July is National Ice cream Month. Check out all our Reviews of Ice cream of the low fat variety of course. Try a flavor you haven't tried before.

V8 Fusion LightRead the reviews of Strawberry Banana and Pomegranate Blueberry Juice, and you'll see why I seriously considered sending Campbell's (who owns V8) a thank you note for making drinking my vegetables a pleasant experience. So when I happened across the V8 Fusion Light Juice, I did a little happy dance right there in the grocery store. Could V8 actually make their LIGHT juice taste just as good as the original, with the same 1 serving of fruit and vegetables per cup, but with 50% less calories and sugar?

Yes they can, is what I discovered. The Peach Mango flavor has, as they say, "all the taste of luscious fruits like peaches and mango, and the nutrition of vegetables." It is sweet and robust with maybe a little more peach than mango in taste. But I forgave them for that indiscretion because this juice is just 50 calories per serving.

One serving of V8 Fusion Light Peach Mango Juice also has 13 grams of carbohydrates, which includes only 10 grams of sugar, but no fiber. In addition, you get 100% of your daily vitamin C, 35% of vitamin A and 10% vitamin E. I purchased a 1.36 L bottle for $3.90 which was quite expensive in my opinion.

This is one of my go-to juices. I just don't know of anything else that can match it in taste, calories and still provide some nutrition. You done good V8. You done real good with this one.

This sounds absolutely fantastic, but I have one question: are there any artificial sugars in it? I checked out the V8 website and they have nutrition information but no ingredients list. If there aren't fake sugars, this sounds truly amazing!

There is sucralose (Splenda) in it. It's the last ingredient on the list.

My husband loves this stuff. It was too sweet for me, they could have cut back on the sucralose and let more of the fruit flavor come through, it would taste better to me.

You should be aware that the light version has 1/2 serving of fruit and 1/2 serving of vegetables while the regular version has 1 full serving of each

Monty- Are you implying they use sugar to cover up the vegetable taste? :)

I picked up one of these today. It has a great smooth consistency and tastes great!

Thanks for the great review. I surfed here from Heat Eat Review.

I was skeptical about trying V Fusion. I was told about it by a guy it work that he was addicted to it. I am not a veggie eater because I hate the taste, so I decided to try it. I had strawberry banana, Tropical, and Peach Mango Light. All were great an I could not taste the Veggies...What a great invention!!! Thank you V8! **PS...I found it for a $1 less at Wal-Mart**

It's half servings, half calories, half vitamins, half everything, and it isn't as thick as the regular. Hmm.. Buy the regular and water it down 50%, then you will have the same thing and save half your money!

I would agree with Jenn, and add that the lack of artificial sweeteners would be another sweet bonus!

This has splenda in it, which is why I won't buy it. I just get the "full strength" fusion and dilute it with some sparkling water (or still sometimes) and then it isn't quite so thick or sweet. I'd rather have extra natural fruit sugar (fructose) in my juice than something artificial.

I just love this juice - I don't bother too much with veggies either. Why isn't it in a 6 pack to go? I would just love that.
