Back to Nature Classic Rounds Baked Crackers

Back to Nature Baked CrackersBack to Nature is a company after my own heart because they don't use hydrogenated oils, artificial preservatives, flavors or colors in their products. Their look is extremely similar to a Ritz cracker, like the picture on the box displays, and (quite surprisingly) they taste almost exactly like a Ritz. The one difference is their flaky, buttery texture. These crackers are just a bit more 'structured' than the crumbly Ritz, and each bite is a slightly salty crunch of flaky delight! They even have the subtle buttery sheen and lightly browned edges! On a scale of one to ten, Ritz would get a 10 and Back to Nature Classic Rounds would receive a 9!

Like a number of other cracker varieties such as Ritz and Saltines, a serving size of Back to Nature Classic Rounds Baked Crackers is only five crackers! After eating one of the 16 servings that comes in a box, you will have consumed 70 calories, 2 grams of fat (3% of the RDA), no saturated fat, 150 milligrams of sodium (6% of the RDA) and 11 grams of total carbohydrate - NO fiber (only 1 gram of sugar). The ingredient list is also simple and uncomplicated, "unbleached enriched flour, expeller expressed oleic safflower oil, raw sugar (Turbinado Sugar), brown rice syrup, baking powder, sea salt, soy lecithin."

I paid $2.29 for Back to Nature Classic Rounds at Target and thought it was an amazing find! You can also purchase them online at the Back to Nature website, a pack of 3 (8.5 ounce) boxes for $9.99, or at Amazon.com, a pack of 12 for $28.92. Back to Nature also makes those great Banana Walnut Bakery Squares (read the review).

Companies are getting smart and frequently updating their product lines with new, healthier alternatives to old favorites, so keep your eyes open for tasty, healthy substitutes!

I LOVE THESE CRACKERS! So tasty! They are 10 times better than Ritz, and they don't have any partially hydrogenated killer oils. Try 'em! You'll like 'em.
