Lean Cuisine Brick Oven Style BBQ Recipe Chicken Pizza
This review was done by Emily Wolter. Emily is a senior in high school who loves scouring the supermarket and trying out new foods. "I live in Texas which makes it even more of a challenge to eat healthy because I am constantly surrounded by fried fast food, but I like a challenge." Emily plans to attend college and major in Food Science & Technology or Dietetics. "I am extremely interested in food and its affects on the body."

Lean Cuisine Brick Oven Style PizzaThe picture on the box of Lean Cuisine Brick Oven Style BBQ Recipe Chicken Pizza looked like something I just could not wait to sink my teeth into, so I had to pick it up when I saw it was on sale for $2.50. When I took it out of the box and microwaved it, my thoughts did not change. The pizza is a very generous portion and it looked similar to the picture on the box.

The Good:
The Crust. While the inside does not get very crispy the outer edges do and it is a very nice balance!
The Chicken. Evenly spread over the top of the pizza and tastes like REAL chicken (a plus for frozen meals).
The Size. This is bigger (at least in the diameter) than a Pizza Hut personal pan pizza.
The Cheese. There is a nice serving of gooey, flavorful cheese!

What's Not so Good:
The first few bites were delicious, but then, I realized that there was a weird after-taste. This was quite distracting but was not revolting enough to cause me to stop eating.
The Sauce. while it is not flavorless, it is lacking a bit of pizzazz!
The long list of ingredients is not too impressive!

By the time I ate the last piece (I cut mine into 4 slices), the pizza was cold and the cheese and toppings congeal together, which was not quite as appetizing. So to enjoy it, eat it quickly!

The nutritionals are very exciting considering that this is pizza! The entire Lean Cuisine Brick Oven Style BBQ-recipe Chicken Pizza has 350 calories, 8 grams of fat (which is 12% of the recommended daily amount), 2.5 grams of saturated fat (13% of the RDA), 26% of the RDA for sodium (620 milligrams), 19 grams of protein, and 50 grams of carbohydrates which includes 8% of DV for fiber (2 grams) and 10 grams of sugar. It also provides 25% of DV for calcium, 15% of iron, 10% of vitamin C and 40% of vitamin A.

I purchased this pizza on sale for $2.50 and Lean Cuisine meals go on sale often. This is a decent choice if you want to indulge in pizza but don't want too many calories. There are 2 other varieties of Lean Cuisine Brick Oven Style Pizza, Roasted Garlic Chicken and Gourmet Mushroom, and since there are a few things I didn't like about this pizza (and a few things I did like), I think I will be trying out the other 2 as well.

I have tried this pizza as well, and agree with Emily that it does need to be eaten quickly to avoid "gummy" cheese syndrome! It does make for a tasty "fast food" lunch, and accceptable for Weight watchers like myself. Good review Emily!

Good review!

The roasted garlic one sounds better, I wish I saw that when I bought this one. It was all right I guess.
